My Invites!

So, I thought I'd share with some pictures the process I went through to create my wedding invites last year.  First, having ventured a little bit into free lance wedding invitation design, I have to say, having yourself as a client is the BEST.  Decisions made in my head.  Done.  See something....yes...no.  Plus, I had a general idea of what I wanted to do....I knew at the bare minimum, I wanted to hand stamp my invites.  That's right.  Hand stamp.  And I did.  Thank goodness for Etsy and the connection to so many amazing craftsmen/creatives!  Word to the wise: if you're planning a wedding, Etsy and Google Docs are your best friends.  Anyway, I found a woman on Etsy to take whatever I could design and turn it into a stamp.  Behold, the native artwork:

I sent the above to her (not the boarder, that's the paper), and she made this for me:

Okay, and just because this made me so happy, this picture was from my family shower; my mom and aunt decorated the mantel of this cabin we rented for the weekend with family weddings pictures, past and present, as well as some of our engagement pictures and our invite. =)

Well, I think that's about it.  I do have to admit, hand stamping 250 invites did get tiring (and blister inducing!), but I'm super satisfied with how they turned out, and still love looking at them.  Hope you guys do as well. =)
